Can’t wait to see you in 2013. Make your reservations now.

Good bye 2012, hello 2013!

Leaves turned to snow.  Warmth turned to breeze and then icicles.  Summers come and summers go.  To our customers who have made Duluth Indian Point Campground a home or a stopping point while in Duluth, MN this past summer and fall, we say THANK YOU.  To our staff, our friends the delivery men and women, and the community who made running this campground blissfully fun we say THANK YOU.  To those who could not make it in 2012, we look forward to seeing you in 2013.  And most of all, to each and every one of you -- we say  THANK YOU for being our friends!   We wish you a healthier, happier, and more prosperous 2013.  Duluth Indian Point Campground awaits you from May to October in 2013.  See you soon …

“Time swings by fast when you have fun” … how true it was for us at Duluth Indian Point Campground in 2012.  As we say adieu to this productive year, we look back at those months from May to October with gratitude and joyfulness.  We marched with eagerness when we embraced the responsibility as the new management team of the campground.  We were supported by great partners from the City of Duluth Parks and Recreations team, our camp hosts and field staff, all who made our days and nights move along smoothly.

The first campers that came that cool May day set a wonderful tone that continued to greet us with the happy voices and smiling faces.  That was the beginning of our every day with customers enriching our experiences with stories about a campground they enjoy coming to – those who have frequented this campground since they were as young as their children now are, those who keep the tradition rolling to vacation here in Duluth, Minnesota, those who come and make this campground their family annual gathering spot for the last 50 years, those who are the regulars to our city annual events, those who enjoy watching the color of Fall and snuggling up around the campfire when the weather starts dipping down.  The regulars, the first-timers, the passers-through – to you all we raise our glass, tip our hat and share our thanks for making our job an enjoyable one.

Our last customer left the campground last October 16, 2012; the picture still stays vivid in our mind – the camper moving slowly passing the campground office, two short honking sounds and eagerly waving hands with a happy yell sneaked out of the window as they said “we’ll see you again next year!”.  That’s a closing remark we would like to echo to you; our customers, our new found friends.  We are entering the winter season with gleaming smile and looking forward to seeing you again in 2013.

To those who did not get the chance to come back or make it to our campground this year, let’s plan 2013 together.  Our reservation team is accepting reservations seven days a week; do call us and let us assist your camping needs accordingly.

Here are some of the exciting events awaiting you in Duluth, Minnesota in 2013: The Tall Ship Celebration expected to be the largest one yet (July).  The annual must-watch, hear, feel events like the Grandma’s Marathon (June), the Fourth Fest and the Bayfront Reggae & World Music (July), the Blues Festival (August) to name a few.  We will share more information about each of them as we get closer to our opening camping season in May 2013.  In the mean time, we wish you, your family and loved ones a healthy, happy, joyful and successful 2013.
